For many years Sheffield has boasted a vibrant and very active Ceilidh scene; in recent times based around the Sheffield University Ceilidh Society which runs regular events throughout the year. More recently the Sheffield Contra dance scene has been expanding, as has the enthusiasm for European social dance.

Euro Dance (Bal)Burton Street, Langsett Hall: Saturday 1 November, 16.00—19.00£6 / £5 French and Scandinavian dance featuring Outre Manche, Sheffield Eurosession and Six Foot Six with caller Graham Knapp. The Bal is preceded by a workshop (14.00-16.00 in the Capel Hall) led by Gwenaelle Ambuhl.
